Using English to investigate women's positions in the globe

The "Exploring Women's Position in the World Through English" design project is a seven-week communicative course intended to build and improve speaking, listening, reading, and vocabulary abilities to facilitate successful communication. The system is built around the Community-Based Language Teaching approach, content-based instruction, and Adult Learning theory. The Women's Resource Centre Armenia (WRCA) conducted a needs analysis, which served as the foundation for constructing 13 lesson plans with all necessary resources. The project includes deliverables such as a syllabus, an assessment plan, rubrics, and lesson plans that include instructional activities. The present course is intended for intermediate-level women. The entire class was piloted at the Women's Resource Centre Armenia (WRCA), with the sample group chosen based on their level of language competency. Students were evaluated after the semester through a poster presentation demonstrating language and content progress in course-related areas. The pupils successfully formed well-supported arguments on the assigned themes and displayed strong vocabulary knowledge. The course was evaluated using a questionnaire filled out by the students. According to the assessment results, the course was effectively piloted and reached the desired goal and goals.
